With well over £80,000 having already been raised for local good causes through Newquay Beer Festival since 2013, this year’s target is to break the £100k mark. However, as in all previous years, its success is reliant on the generosity of sponsors, artists and attendees who support this charity event run by Newquay Towan Blystra Lions Club. So, how about getting involved?
Secretary of Towan Blystra Lions, and one of the event organisers, Lion Phil Bunt said: “We regularly have around 100 businesses and individuals who support this really popular festival by sponsoring barrels of beer and cider, as well as advertising in our programme. In addition, a number of businesses are able to help by offering their services in return for being acknowldeged as sponsoring us in this way.”
Sponsorship options can be found at HERE and start at just £35, with sponsoring a barrel costing £110, but there are some really popular benefits to supporting local good causes in this way. Over and above the exposure given to the sponsor, most sponsorships are rewarded with several three-day tickets and a complimentary pint for each attendee on first arrival. So it often means the sponsorship price is similar to the amount which would have been paid to join in at the festival.
