payment-facilities

You don’t have to bring big piles of cash this weekend, to enjoy a beer, and help support local good causes.

This weekend’s Newquay Beer Festival has announced that a Chip & Pin card payment facility is going to be available at the charity event.

The site will be running on a token-based system. These tokens can be exchanged over the bar for beer. You can purchase your tokens from the specified token points, where you can choose to pay with either cash, or using your credit or debit card.

Matt Bunt from Newquay Towan Blystra Lions said: “Sometimes, the last thing you want to do, is carry lots of cash with you. This is a great way to overcome this, and there is no additional charge for paying with your credit or debit card.

Matt continued: “And don’t be fooled by the token system, as the drinks are very well priced. All the ales are just £2.50, with the lagers at £3.00.

“Of course, don’t forget that all the profits from the Beer Festival will be going to support fantastic local causes.

“We look forward to sharing a beer with you this weekend!”

A limited number of half price tickets are still on sale, with camping also available on site.
