half-price-tickets

Thanks to generous support from local businesses, a limited number of half price tickets have been released for the first ever charity Newquay Beer Festival taking place later this month.

Newquay Towan Blystra Lions are staging the festival at Hendra Holiday Park on September 20-21 and have recently announced the special offer.

Thanks to the amount of sponsorship pledged by Newquay’s businesses, including festival partners Maharajah Indian Restaurant and St Austell Brewery, the Lions club are now able to release a number of tickets for just £3. For those who have already booked to attend the event a special voucher, reflecting the saving will be given to them to use at the festival when they arrive.

The festival is set to feature more than 50 real ales and beers from across the country, as well as a selection of ciders, lagers, wines and soft drinks.

Crowds will also be entertained throughout the weekend with music from Straw Dogs, Route 66, The Prevention, Oll and Gwella and St Newlyn East Band among many others.

The festival is raising vital funds for Cornwall Air Ambulance, Cornwall Hospice Care, Children’s Hospice South West and Carly Taylor Fighting Back. Tickets can be purchased from The NewquayVoice office, Trevena Terrace and Newquay Tourist Information Office in Marcus Hill. They can also be booked online here, where camping pitches at just £6 per pitch per night can be reserved.

President of the club, Lion Phil Bunt said: “We have been delighted with the way local businesses and individuals have come forward to support us in putting this event on and we now want to make sure everyone who enjoys festivals like this is able to come along.”
