Organisers of this year’s Newquay Beer Festival at Hendra Holiday Park have made the decision to restrict entry only to those who have pre-bought or received tickets for the event.
Although the decision is fairly close to the event itself, it has been pointed out since early June that this was a possibility. Pre-event ticket sales have been stronger than normal and Festival Director, Andy Hannan of organisers Towan Blystra Lions Club, says that, for the first time, the event will be ‘ticket only’ and casual attendees would have to be turned away.
“The only way to make sure you can come along is to be a ticket holder,” said Andy who has chaired organisation of the festival since it started in 2013.
“It’s fabulous to see how popular it has become but, in a year when we need to be particularly careful of the impact of COVID on everyone, keeping everyone safe is more of a priority than ever, and numbers attending impact on this. I would urge anyone thinking of joining us to buy their tickets now to avoid disappointment,” he said.
