Preparations for next month’s Newquay Beer Festival are well underway, with over 50 real ales on offer for the charity event.

The list features a number of award-winning ales, including a selection which took honours at the recent Great British Beer Festival.

This includes the silver-awarded Moor Revival, as well as the bronze-awarded Purple Moose Glaslyn and Branscombe Best Bitter.

Meanwhile, Quantock Mills Neck won the 2013 Society of Independent Brewers Association (SIBA) Gold for the Best Bitter, and Hunters Royal Hunt was declared the SIBA SW Supreme Champion Beer.
The festival will also be offering the highly-sought-after Timothy Taylor Landlord, the four-times Champion Beer of Britain.

Meanwhile, those who prefer the crisp taste of apples will be well-catered for, with ten fantastic ciders from both Cornwall and further afield on offer. Lager-lovers can also enjoy a cold pint of Tuborg, or the highly-acclaimed St Austell Lager “Korev”.

Matt Bunt from Newquay Towan Blystra Lions is excited about the event: “It’s really coming together well. We’ve just finalised the fantastic range of entertainment, and the list of award-winning beers we are going to be offering is a real treat for anyone who loves their real ale.”
